Woodpecker and Kingfisher Cottages

These are both one bedroom semi detached cottages on one level with low thresholds and wider doors for the benefit of the less mobile and wheelchair users. There is a wet room with shower, lowered basin, non slip floor and rails to help with mobility if required.

No smoking. Please note these cottages may be unsuitable for young children due to open gardens and pond.

The through lounge / dining area has wood flooring throughout for easy access with two sofa's, one of which is a sofa bed so as to cater for up to four persons. Each has a TV, freeview box and DVD player. The small kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, fridge and partly lowered worktops with hob for wheelchair users to enjoy cooking.

Leading from the lounge, patio doors open onto a private enclosed courtyard garden with outdoor furniture and BBQ with a path leading down to our well stocked pond where visitors are welcome to fish for the large variety of carp. Everything is all level, including swims, and can be enjoyed by all.

There is also a 10 acre field adjacent to the cottages which you are welcome to use.

Each bedroom has two single beds with ample space around them for easy transfer if required. Bed raisers are available on request. All bedding and heating are included.

The large wet room is fully equipped with walk in shower, safety flooring, grab rails and a separate shower chair. Towels are provided free of charge.

Our third cottage, Dove, is a detached, one level cottage with its own private parking, small enclosed garden and can cater for up to four persons. It has one double bedroom, shower room, lounge/kitchen with sofa bed and a south facing conservatory which opens out  onto a small private patio. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a tv with freeview and dvd player. All electric, linen and towels are  included in the price. No smoking. Please note that Dove cottage is not suitable for wheelchair users and has two small entrance steps.
